Chase Young Will Return To Practice Next Week
2 years agoWashington Commanders head coach Ron Rivera told reporters on Thursday that defensive end Chase Young (knee) will be designated to return from Injured Reserve and will return to practice next week. It will open his 21-day window for the team to officially activate him from Injured Reserve so that he can make his 2022 debut. Young had a positive visit with Dr. James Andrews on Thursday and could return as soon as Week 9, although the Commanders will likely bring the 23-year-old former second overall pick back slowly. Young is recovering from a torn ACL and MCL in his knee last year, so it may take him some time before he can return to his Pro Bowl form from his rookie season in 2020.
