Chase DeLauter Homers for Triple-A Columbus on Monday
Chase DeLauter went 1-for-3 with a walk and a solo home run on Monday for Triple-A Columbus. The former first-round draft pick had sports hernia surgery earlier this year and recently completed a rehab assignment with the team's Arizona Complex League affiliate. In the three games he's played for Columbus, the left-handed slugger has a hit in each of them, going 3-for-10 so far with a 2:2 BB:K. The Guardians' second-ranked prospect has dealt with injuries in each of his first three seasons in the minors, but if he can continue to produce and remain healthy from here on out, the 6-foot-3 slugger has a good chance to make his major league debut later this season and has the tools to have a fantasy impact whenever he gets the call.
