Chase Briscoe made it into the "Round Of 12" as the Stewart-Haas Racing car avoided carnage for the most part. However, the Ford starts Texas on Sunday in 30th after a poor qualifying effort which saw him bleeding time in every sector and coming out of turns. His practice session in the Ford was even worse at 31st with an overall that approached 29.8 seconds. Daniel Suarez was in that neighborhood with him but turned in a much better qualifying effort whereas the No. 14 driver just could not find the groove in the resin line. Briscoe is on the bubble as playoff standings reset and his start may be a bad omen for Sunday.--Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
