5/23:The Philadelphia Phillies failed to take first place in the National League East on Monday night as they fell to the Atlanta Braves 3-1 at Citizens Bank Park. While the pitching limited the damage to three runs, it was the offense that failed to get going. The lone run of the game for the second-place team came off the bat of leadoff man Cesar Hernandez. The second baseman stepped up to the plate in the fifth inning with two on and his team trailing by two runs. He would single to right, driving home Maikel Franco. It was Hernandez’s only hit of the game and one of just seven for the Phillies, who now stand a game and a half out of first in the division.--Ricky Delgado - RotoBaller
