Carlos Santana Struggling Through The Start Of June
Kansas City Royals first baseman Carlos Santana has been slumping at the plate throughout the start of June. Over eight games, he's gone just 4-for-28 with five walks and no extra-base hits. He's slashing .143/.294/.143 over the eight-game stretch. Santana has had a decent year overall. Through 60 games, he's slashing .235/.370/.402 with 10 home runs, 36 RBI and 34 runs. He ranks in the 97th percentile in walk rate (16.9%) and in the 90th percentile in strikeout rate (14.6%). His .247 xBA and .489 xSLG suggest there's better production to come. Expect to see him snap out of this slump soon.
