5 years agoCarolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton (foot) confirmed that he's dealing with a mild Lisfranc injury and said he's doing everything in his power to come back. He could be out for a week or up to six weeks, and he wants to be 100 percent healthy when he returns. In other words, don't expect Newton back anytime soon. If you own him, keep him stashed for now. Hopefully you already had a solid backup or were able to pick one up or trade for one. Kyle Allen performed admirably in Newton's absence in Week 3, but he was also facing a weak Cardinals Defense. He has another decent matchup in Houston's secondary this Sunday and is a midrange QB2 in two-QB leagues.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
