Free-agent quarterback Cam Newton may not be signed for a while and it could extend into the summer, based on a report from NFL.com. After the Carolina Panthers parted ways with the longtime QB in March, it has been a rough road in regards to finding a new team for the 30-year-old, despite him working out and staying in shape. Though former NFC South QB Jameis Winston found a home in the New Orleans Saints, Cam has not been as fortunate. There are a bevy of factors playing into this situation, though. The absence of physical meetings, the draft, and overall lack of starting QB jobs in the league is hindering Newton from receiving interest. Add this to the fact that the QB has a desire to be a starter, per NFL Network's Ian Rapaport. As for now, the most intriguing and logical options to sign the former Panthers QB would be the Jacksonville Jaguars and New England Patriots, but there is no indication that will end up happening.--Rishi Patel - RotoBallerRead More News
