Edmonton Oilers goaltender Calvin Pickard will be between the pipes for Game 1 against the Vegas Golden Knights on Tuesday. After riding the bench at the start of the postseason, Pickard finished the first-round series against the Los Angeles Kings by winning four consecutive contests, earning the opportunity to start over Stuart Skinner at the beginning of Round 2. While Pickard is riding an impressive winning streak, his save percentage for the postseason at .893 is not the strongest, and he allowed nearly three goals per game against the Kings (2.93). Edmonton's chances in the series against a Vegas team that averages the fourth-most shots in the playoffs (32.2) would significantly improve if Pickard can elevate his performance levels.--Taavi Pailk
