Cal Raleigh Hits Home Run No. 8
Cal Raleigh went 1-for-5 with a solo shot during their victory over the Cincinnati Reds on Thursday evening. Raleigh would hit the long ball off Cincinnati reliever Emilio Pagan. Over his last six games, Raleigh has enjoyed an incredible power surge, hitting six long balls over this span. On Wednesday, Raleigh hit two home runs. Before this recent hot stretch, the switch-hitting catcher held a modest .184/.286/.347 slash line with two home runs across his first 13 contests. Through the early part of the campaign, the 28-year-old catcher has generated an elite .395 xwOBA with a 25.0 percent barrel rate, which has placed him in the 87th and 100th percentile, respectively. Raleigh should continue to be viewed as a high-end No. 1 catcher in all leagues given his elite power upside.
