C.J. Stroud Expected To Start In Week 1
1 year agoESPN's Dan Graziano thinks that Houston Texans rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud will show enough this summer and in the preseason to convince the team to start him in Week 1. The Texans know what they have in Davis Mills, which is a big reason they drafted Stroud at No. 2 overall this year. Mills has 33 touchdowns and 25 interceptions in 28 games over the last two seasons, and he and Stroud rotated through the offseason program. Stroud has so far done everything the Texans have needed him to do, but they want to see him in stressful situations before ultimately deciding whether to start him right out of the gate. Even if Mills starts in Week 1, Stroud's NFL debut won't be far behind.
