Bryson Stott Resting Against Left-Hander
1 year agoPhiladelphia Phillies middle infielder Bryson Stott is taking the day off on Tuesday with the team facing Los Angeles Angels left-hander Tyler Anderson. With Stott sitting out, Rodolfo Castro will get the nod at the keystone and will hit seventh against Anderson. Stott has actually been strong against lefties in 2023, hitting .302 (38-for-126) against them with three of his 13 home runs. The 25-year-old former first-round pick has improved dramatically in his second MLB season, as he's hitting .294 (141-for-480) with 13 home runs, 27 doubles, two triples, 53 RBI, 25 stolen bases and 66 runs scored in 123 games. In nine games for the Phils, Castro is 2-for-18 with an RBI and eight strikeouts.
