Bryce Miller Could Return in 4-6 Weeks
Bryce Miller (elbow) will be shut down from throwing for two weeks and could be available to come off the 15-day injured list in four to six weeks if everything goes well. Miller will also receive a platelet-rich plasma injection in his troublesome right elbow. The 26-year-old went back on the 15-day IL on Tuesday with inflammation while dealing with a bone spur in his right elbow. After returning from a three-week absence in May, he gave up eight earned runs on 11 hits (two homers) while walking two and striking out only four in nine innings in two starts against the Twins and Angels. The M's recalled rookie Logan Evans to make a spot start on Tuesday against Arizona, but the good news is that Logan Gilbert (elbow) is expected to rejoin the rotation at some point next week. We won't see Miller again until the second half of the season.
