1 year agoColorado Rockies second baseman Brendan Rodgers (illness) was scratched from Monday's starting lineup against the visiting Atlanta Braves due to illness. Harold Castro will take over at the keystone and will bat seventh in the lineup against Braves right-hander Bryce Elder. Hunter Goodman is playing first base and batting in the six-hole for the Rockies. Rodgers, a former first-rounder in 2015 is quickly running out of time in the big leagues because he just hasn't been able to stay healthy or produce much when he has been on the field. the 27-year-old has played in just 20 games in 2023 and is hitting .218 (17-for-78) with no homers, 10 RBI and eight runs scored.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
