Brandon Woodruff Has Been Sharp In Cactus League
2 years agoUnsurprisingly, Milwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Brandon Woodruff has been sharp so far this spring, allowing only two hits and an unearned run while walking none and striking out six in five Cactus League innings over two starts so far. The 30-year-old struck out four batters over three innings in his last start last Friday. He's expected to make his first start of the 2023 season in the second game on April 1 against the Chicago Cubs. It's clear that the right-hander is a fantasy ace, and managers should consider him a top-10 fantasy starter. The two-time All-Star has a 2.79 ERA (3.01 FIP), 1.01 WHIP and 401 strikeouts in 332 2/3 innings over 57 starts the last two years for the Brew Crew.
