New York Mets outfielder Brandon Nimmo may not be in the best situation playing-time wise, but at least on Wednesday against the Toronto Blue Jays, he made the most of his one appearance. Pinch hitting in the bottom of the ninth in what finished as a 12-1 route, Nimmo was the lone bright spot for the Mets as he hit a solo shot to put the Amazins on the board. It was only his second home run of the season, but you can be sure the talented youngster would have more if he could see the field more. The OBP-monster is now slashing .267/.443/.483 (.926 OPS) with the aforementioned two home runs, three triples, 13 runs scored, five RBI, and one stolen bases across 60 at-bats and 30 games played this year. There’s little doubt Nimmo could have real fantasy significance if he played daily, but the crowded outfield (when healthy) of Yoenis Cespedes, Jay Bruce, and Michael Conforto makes that a difficult proposition.--John Smith
