Brandin Cooks Injured In Week 5 Defeat
5 years agoLos Angeles Rams wide receiver Brandin Cooks (head) left in the fourth quarter of the team’s Thursday night 30-29 defeat to the Seattle Seahawks; the star wideout suffered an injury after he caught his lone reception (on only three targets) for 29 yards. While Cooks isn’t expected to miss significant time, he still is in concussion protocol, and his status for Week 6 should be monitored. Prior to the injury, Cooks was on his way to an abysmal night, which was surprising considering that he had maintained a consistent target share throughout the first four weeks of the season. If Cooks is able to suit up for Week 6, lock him in as a WR2; however, if he misses time, fantasy owners should be on the lookout for teammate Josh Reynolds to take his place in the Rams’ three-wideout sets.
