1 year agoESPN's Dan Graziano thinks Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield's experience will give him the edge in the team's QB competition this summer against Kyle Trask. Mayfield, the first overall pick in 2018, has gone 32-29 as an NFL starter over five years with three different teams. Meanwhile, Trask has thrown nine career passes since he was drafted by Tampa in the second round in 2021. Mayfield finished nicely with the Rams following a failed stint in Carolina last year, but he still finished last in the league in total QBR (24.6) and completion percentage over expectation (minus-6.9%). Trask knows the system better, but he has only seen the field in mop-up duty. Mayfield seems like the favorite for this battle, but he's probably only going to be a low-end QB2, at best, in superflex fantasy leagues if he wins the job.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
