Baker Mayfield 2018 Outlook: Expected To Start Season as Backup
6 years agoCleveland Browns head coach Hue Jackson has said over and over that Tyrod Taylor will be the team's starting quarterback Week 1, despite how good Baker Mayfield has looked in camp. While it seems ever more likely Mayfield will start the season second on the depth chart, it also seems likely we will see him at some point this year. Mayfield, the number one draft pick, has all the tool's to start in the NFL, and will be surrounded by an offense loaded with weapons when he finally does. When we see him will be decided by the success of the team, and Taylor. For fantasy, he can be avoided in single quarterback leagues, but is worth drafting in Superflex and 2 QB leagues.
