Asdrubal Cabrera To Be Reassessed Monday
7 years agoNew York Mets second baseman Asdrubal Cabrera left Sunday night’s game against the New York Yankees with a tight left hamstring, and will be reassessed on Monday according to manager Mickey Callaway. Cabrera suffered the injury while slipping out of the box running to first base in the bottom of the first inning, but stayed in the game for three innings prior to departing. According to Callaway, it does not sound as if the injury will require a stint on the disabled list. However, with Asdrubal Cabrera that’s never quite a certainty. Cabrera’s pace has certainly slowed down as the season has progressed, but he’s still hitting .283/.323/.498 with 11 home runs, 31 runs scored, and 36 RBI across 254 plate appearances.
