The New York Rangers inked free-agent left wing Artemi Panarin (Blue Jackets) to a seven-year contract worth $81.494 million on Monday. The Islanders took a run at Panarin, but he opted to join the rival Rangers instead, so that should set up for a nice storyline in the season. Florida was also interested in his services. Panarin rolled up 28 goals and 87 points last season, and he has 74 or more points in each of his first four NHL seasons. He is the biggest skater free-agent prize, and a fantasy stud who might just be scratching the surface at 27 years old.--Daniel Dobish
