He has led some laps and a couple of times nearly won the race. Some bad luck has indeed plagued him at crucial times. However, the No. 10 car has been quite fast with solid downforce in the tri-oval. Almirola carries an average finish of 9.86 into Phoenix which is the sixth-best among active drivers.
