Antonio Gibson Should Have Sizable Role Against Panthers
4 years agoWashington Football Team rookie running back Antonio Gibson (toe) is back for Week 16 against the Panthers and should have a sizable role after sitting out the team's last two games with a painful turf-toe injury. The 22-year-old from Memphis has been the best fantasy back in Washington's backfield this year and he'll return to a solid matchup against Carolina's defense. The Panthers were one of the worst teams against the run last year, and although they aren't quite that bad in 2020, they've still allowed the 10th-most fantasy points per game to the position this year. Gibson should be considered an RB2 with upside in his return. His presence is bad news for J.D. McKissic and Peyton Barber, though, but McKissic still has some appeal as an RB3/flex in PPR formats.
