Antonio Gibson Returns To Full Practice
3 years agoWashington Football Team running back Antonio Gibson (shoulder) was a full participant in practice on Thursday after being limited on Wednesday. Washington was likely just giving Gibson a breather on Wednesday for a nagging injury that he's been dealing with early in the season. The second-year back dominated the backfield touches in the Week 1 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers, but pass-catching back J.D. McKissic was more involved in last Thursday's win over the New York Giants. Still, Gibson is the clear leader of this backfield, and his value could increase with Taylor Heinicke now the starting quarterback. He'll have a tough draw against a strong Bills defensive line in Week 3, but Gibson's usage alone should make him a low-end RB1/high-end RB2 most weeks.
