Antonio Gibson Drawing Trade Interest
2 years agoThe Washington Commanders are receiving trade interest for running back Antonio Gibson, but they'd ultimately prefer to keep him around, according to sources. Gibson has formed a formidable one-two punch with rookie Brian Robinson, and the pair combined for 132 yards in the Week 7 win over the Green Bay Packers. Robinson lost the vast majority of his fantasy appeal when he lost the starting role to Robinson, but he still has plenty of value in Washington. Still, Gibson leads the team with 273 yards on 71 carries in 2022, and he also has 22 catches for 170 yards and a touchdown. The 24-year-old is earning $1.05 million in the third year of his rookie contract, but he'll remain more of a low-upside RB3/flex as long as Robinson remains healthy.
