Anthony Richardson Says He's Ahead Of Schedule In Rehab
12 months agoIndianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson (shoulder) has been sidelined since suffering a significant shoulder injury that required surgery in Week 5 of the 2023 campaign. After a promising start to his rookie year, his season was over quickly. However, the 21-year-old said he thinks he's ahead of schedule in the rehab process. "I think I'm progressing way faster than everyone thought," Richardson said. "They said 16 weeks after the surgery, but hopefully, I'm trying to push to get (back) before that." He said he hopes he can start throwing next month. Either way, he will not return for a potential playoff push, but it's a promising sign for his future outlook. Given his elite rushing ceiling, it would be surprising if he's not a consensus QB1 in 2024 fantasy drafts.
