Anthony Miller Ejected From Wild-Card Game
4 years agoChicago Bears wide receiver Anthony Miller was ejected from the wild-card playoff game against the Saints in the third quarter on Sunday after an altercation with New Orleans cornerback Chauncey Gardner-Johnson. Chicago wideout Javon Wims was ejected and suspended for an altercation with Gardner-Johnson earlier this season, so the two teams have a history from the 2020 season. The Bears entered the contest without rookie pass-catcher Darnell Mooney, so Miller's ejection leaves them extremely thin at the position behind Allen Robinson II. Cordarrelle Patterson, Riley Ridley, DeAndre Carter and Wims are the other receivers that will need to step up. Tight ends Cole Kmet and Jimmy Graham could see more looks in the rest of the second half as well. Miller caught just two of three targets for 22 yards before his ejection.
