Anthony McFarland Jr. 2020 Fantasy Outlook: Lost In The Shuffle?
5 years agoPittsburgh Steelers running back Anthony McFarland Jr. will begin his first year in the league in 2020. While his role with the team is unknown, there is a chance that he will have a few strong showings at some point down the line, especially with the team rumored to be parting ways with the oft-injured James Conner after the season concludes. While Benny Snell Jr. and Jaylen Samuels showed flashes of promise while filling in for Conner while he was injured in 2019, both are limited in terms of offensive capabilities. The fourth-round selection out of McFarland was met with mixed reviews, but the organization may have gotten a bargain despite his regression at Maryland likely caused by the lingering effects of a high-ankle sprain. Initially, he is only worth drafting in the later rounds of deeper formats--at best--but is certainly someone to keep an eye on from a free agency perspective on a week-to-week basis.
