4 years agoTwenty four teams were present as free-agent right-handers Anibal Sanchez and Julio Teheran put on a showcase for interested teams on Tuesday. They performed well enough that they could both sign with a team soon. Sanchez, 36, finished with an ugly 6.26 ERA and a National League-leading 39 earned runs allowed in 2020, but he did help the Nationals win the World Series in 2019. Teheran, 29, had an even worse 10.05 ERA with 20 strikeouts and 16 walks in his only season with the Angels during the shortened 2020 campaign. There's not much upside with either veteran arm, but Sanchez or Teheran could help the back end of a starting rotation, mostly as innings eaters. Fantasy managers will be best off looking for higher-upside arms in fantasy drafts.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
