The Chicago White Sox announced on Thursday that they reinstated outfielder Andrew Benintendi (groin) from the 10-day injured list and optioned outfielder Greg Jones to Triple-A Charlotte in a corresponding move. Benintendi rejoins the White Sox's major-league roster while skipping a minor-league rehab assignment, but he was not included in the starting lineup for Thursday's series finale against the Athletics. The 30-year-old veteran should be back in the starting lineup in left field for Friday's series opener in Boston against the Red Sox. Benintendi got off to a strong start before his left-groin strain, going 9-for-31 (.290) with two home runs, six RBI and five runs scored. Despite the good start, fantasy managers shouldn't be tricked into thinking the former first-rounder is a must-start outfielder in mixed leagues.--Keith Hernandez
