Washington Capitals left wing Alex Ovechkin scored two goals in Thursday's 6-5 overtime loss to the Rangers, reaching 47 goals for the season. Ilya Kovalchuk had a three-point night with a goal and two assists, John Carlson handed out two dimes and Carl Hagelin and Garnet Hathaway also scored. Ovi has finally caught David Pastrnak in the goal-scorers list and he looks set to skate away with his ninth Rocket Richard Trophy. He'll be back on the ice on Saturday in a huge rivalry game against Pittsburgh. The Penguins have kept Ovechkin pointless in two games this season. --Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
