4 years agoLos Angeles Angels designated hitter Albert Pujols will start and hit fifth against the Diamondbacks on Thursday. Pujols continues to eclipse milestones in his career, passing Alex Rodriguez in career RBI and tying Willie Mayes in home runs with 660. But outside of those moments, it has been an extremely sluggish offensive season for the future Hall of Famer. Pujols is posting an anemic .660 OPS this season and has been even less effective hitting at home this season. In 19 games at Angel Stadium Pujols is slashing only .211/.273/.352, making him a less than ideal selection for Thursday's fantasy lineups.--Joey C - RotoBaller
