Albert Okwuegbunam 2020 Outlook: Speedy TE Needs Time To Develop
5 years agoAlbert Okwuegbunam was yet another of Denver's offensive skill-player selections in this year's draft, and he's reunited with his college quarterback at Missouri in Drew Lock. At 6-foot-5, 255 pounds, Okwuegbunam lines up in line, in the slot and at H-back and has shown the ability to be a consistent blocker. The 22-year-old posted career-lows in receptions (26) and yards (306) due to injuries in his final year in college. But he had 43 catches for 466 yards and six TDs the year prior with Lock throwing him passes. Albert O's biggest asset is his size/speed combination. He can be a nuisance for opposing defenses down the seam and in the red zone, but he won't be on the fantasy map in 2020 unless Noah Fant goes down with an injury. With plenty of inconsistencies in his game right now, Okwuegbunam will take some time to develop at the next level.
