Last season at Homestead-Miami Speedway, AJ Allmendinger posted a surprising top-five finish in the first race at the track in the NextGen car. And in this weekend's 4EVER 400, Allmendinger showed that last year's result wasn't a fluke. Despite starting way back in 25th on Sunday, Allmendinger was able to drive up through the field and came home with a fifth-place finish when the checkered flag flew. He ranked 10th-fastest in Green Flag Speed during the race. This is Allmendinger's fourth top-five finish this season as his future plans in NASCAR's top series are uncertain.--Jordan McAbee
