11 months agoThe Colorado Rockies turned to reliever Adam Ottavino to nail down the final outs in Friday's 5-4 win over the rival Dodgers, and he did it without incident. Ottavino hasn't been overly dominant in his last few outings either, but manager Bud Black had to do something after closer Wade Davis melted down again on Thursday and cost the team another win. Davis has knocked down 32 saves, but he's also blown six this season, so Ottavino's getting a few chances here or there. As long as he can take advantage of them like he did on Friday, he could easily find himself picking up a half dozen saves before the season is out.--Billy Stonick - RotoBaller
