Aaron Jones "Should Be Able To Play This Week"
2 years agoTests on Green Bay Packers running back Aaron Jones' ankle on Monday came back negative, and "(Jones) should be able to play this week," according to a source. Not only did the Packers lose to the Detroit Lions on Sunday, but they added injury to insult, with rookie receivers Romeo Doubs (ankle) and Christian Watson (concussion) and linebacker Rashan Gary (knee) all getting hurt. We won't know what Jones' chances of playing in Week 10 against the Dallas Cowboys are until the practice week starts on Wednesday, but it's a good sign that his ankle injury doesn't appear to be too serious. If the 27-year-old is limited at all against Dallas or inactive altogether, AJ Dillon would become the Packers' lead back. We'll keep a close eye on Jones this week.
