5 years agoSan Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan said that the team is hopeful and optimistic that defensive end Dee Ford (hamstring) and safety Jaquiski Tartt (ribs) will be able to return in the Divisional Round. Ford has missed the last three games, so he'd be a nice boost to one of the NFL's best defenses. The 28-year-old has 6.5 sacks on the season and can form a deadly pass-rush combination with rookie Nick Bosa on the edge. Having a fully healthy defense for a postseason run will greatly enhance San Francisco's chances of making it to the Super Bowl.
