The San Francisco 49ers agreed to a five-year, $85 million deal on Monday with defensive end Arik Armstead, according to sources. The 49ers avoid using the franchise tag on him and successfully locked Armstead up long-term. The pass-rusher set career highs in sacks (10), quarterback hits (18) and tackles for loss (11) in 2019, while also recording 54 total tackles (32 solo), two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery. The 26-year-old is a big part of the Niners stout defense and will be moving forward. San Francisco's defense/special teams will be one of the first units off the board in 2020 fantasy drafts, and Armstead will be a popular target in IDP leagues.--Keith HernandezRead More News
