MMA Betting Picks for UFC 250 - Nunes vs. Spencer (6/6/20)

MMA DFS picks daily fantasy MMA premium lineup tools large

Connor Furwa's MMA betting picks for Nunes vs. Spencer and the UFC 250 card on June 6th, 2020. He provides MMA analysis and UFC wagering picks for each fight.

In just three weeks, Dana White has made a card go from a fight night caliber card to a stacked pay-per-view event headlined by the greatest female UFC fighter of all time. Amanda Nunes will now have her first title defense for the Featherweight belt when she squares off against former Invicta FC Featherweight champion Felicia Spencer. Plenty up and coming fighters will be showcased in this UFC event as well as a Bantamweight Division tournament on the main card.

UFC 250 will be again be hosted at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada. Initially slated for May 9th, this pay-per-view event was supposed to be fought in Brazil. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we now get this in the fight capital of the world.

In this article, I'll be providing you with fight breakdowns and MMA betting picks for UFC 250 on 6/6/20. Be sure to also check out our DraftKings and FanDuel MMA DFS picks articles. Give me a follow on Twitter @Furwa. Good luck!

Eddie Wineland vs. Sean O’Malley

The Suga Show returns to the octagon just two months removed from a performance of the night victory at UFC 248. The best O’Malley to date, ‘Suga’ barely took any damage in a TKO victory in the first round. Just 25, the undefeated Bantamweight will bring a 72” reach advantage to this bout against a very durable veteran in Eddie Wineland. A win here will continue to allow O’Malley to take another leap in competition and allow for a top 15 slot in the Bantamweight Division.

O’Malley will have his work cut out for him when he faces the former WEC Bantamweight Champion Eddie Wineland. The 35-year-old wrestler will look for a dog scrap in this bout, allowing for this fight to be forced to the ground early. The footwork and power O’Malley possesses will be something Wineland will look to avoid, but the durable UFC/WEC veteran is as tough as they come.

Pick: Sean O’Malley wins by 3 Round Decision +250

Neil Magny vs. Anthony Rocco Martin

One of the main training partners in the Justin Gaethje fight camp, Neil Magny has been keeping busy post-USADA suspension. Coming off a unanimous decision victory against Li Jingliang at UFC 248, Magny will look to keep it going and push for a fight in the top 10 in a stacked Welterweight Division. The long and lengthy Welterweight, Magny will look to utilize his jab early in the fight and stay away from the power Martin possesses.

Anthony Rocco Martin has a lot on the line in this bout as this fight is the last one on his current UFC contract. A put up or shut up fight; Martin will look to capitalize on his devastating calf kick that could change the fight in only a few shots. The length of Magny will be difficult for Martin, and whoever is able to dictate the pace of this bout should find success. A fun fight that the UFC matchmakers got right, this is sure to be fast-paced.

Pick: Anthony Rocco Martin +105

Aljamain Sterling vs. Cory Sandhagen

The obvious No. 1 contender bout in the Bantamweight division that should have been a co-main event, Aljamain Sterling and Cory Sandhagen will put both win streaks on the line Saturday night. Waiting on the winner of Petr Yan and Jose Aldo, this bout has already been said to be next in line for both winners.

Coming into this fight on a four-fight win streak, Aljamain Sterling is going to use heavy pressure and a wide array of different strikes to negate Sandhagen's strong overall striking skills. A Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black belt under Matt Serra, "Funk Master," will look to use angles, kicks, and heavy volume to eventually take this bout to the ground and test Cory's Jiu Jitsu game.

The product of Elevation Fight Team out of Denver, Colorado, Cory Sandhagen, has been flawless in his UFC career to date. One of the best body punchers in the UFC, Sandhagen, uses strong angles to make it difficult for any opponent. With the striking being so elite, the big issue in all of Sandhagen's fights has been the grappling. Being taken down in most of his professional bouts, Sandhagen has been a little exposed when any fight hits the canvas.

A Brown belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Sandhagen will have a difficult time if this fight does go to the ground being Sterling's elite training partners out of Serra-Longo Fight Team.

Pick: Aljamain Sterling -120

Bonus “Sprinkle” Pick: Aljamain Sterling Wins by Submission +515

Raphael Assuncao vs. Cody Garbrandt

A must-win fight for both athletes, this co-main event bout will feature the former UFC Bantamweight Champion of the world in Cody Garbrandt. Coming off three consecutive losses, No Love will look to get back on track and back on the title run in a very tough bout against Assuncao.

Training more on his wrestling for this camp, Garbrandt is looking like this will be a grappling matchup against a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black belt. Cody Garbrandt will look to use his fades and boxing to negate a very tough fighter in Assuncao and limit mistakes because that chin is a question mark now.

One of the best counter strikers in this division, Raphael Assuncao, will capitalize on the aggressiveness of Garbrandt and catch any early mistakes. Assuncao will most likely look to take this bout to the ground as it’s very unlikely he will get out grappled by Garbrandt. The iffy chin of Garbrandt and the advantage on the ground, Assuncao should find success wherever this bout goes.

Pick: Raphael Assuncao +115

Amanda Nunes vs. Felicia Spencer

The greatest women's UFC fighter of all time will finally get to defend her Featherweight belt after knocking out legend, Cris Cyborg, over a year ago. The two-time UFC titleholder will get a shot to clear out a lackluster Featherweight Division this Saturday. A knockout artist, who has very little weaknesses, if any, will bring her skillset to the octagon against a tough and durable Felicia Spencer.

Pressure is what Spencer will need to do in this bout, as Felicia's ground and clinch game are very underrated. Coming off a TKO victory in late February and the fight against Cris Cyborg, where she showed the world her toughness, Spencer is no walkthrough.

Felicia will look to make this a dog fight and test Nunes' cardio, with the possibility of landing significant strikes in the clinch. Hoping to get Nunes against the cage and avoid that ferocious right hand, this bout might not be the easy fight everyone thinks it will be.

Pick: Amanda Nunes Wins by 5 Round Decision +230
