Michael Wilson fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 6 (2024). Should you start or sit Michael Wilson for fantasy football lineups?
BALLER MOVE: Start in 12-14+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: WR3/WR4
ANALYSIS: Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Michael Wilson isn't a tough puzzle to crack. He's fantastic against zone coverage and terrible against man coverage. So if he gets manned up, he probably won't do much, but if the defense opts for zone, he can smash.
His splits are pretty wild -- for every route run against man coverage, he averages just 0.13 fantasy points, whereas, against the zone, that number jumps to 0.4 fantasy points per route run.
Michael Wilson probably looks like an outlier on this list, but not to me. Wilson might have had the best week at Senior Bowl practices of any player I've ever seen. @JimNagy_SB knows.
The important note with him, however, is he's going to be very scheme sensitive.

The Green Bay Packers, who the Cardinals will face in Week 6, run a slightly above average rate of zone coverage than the league mean. Wilson should be a fine start, but he's still the WR2 for his team behind starter Marvin Harrison Jr. and could be third in targets if tight end Trey McBride is very involved in the passing game.
Wilson isn't a terrible start in deeper leagues or for teams with a lot of bye weeks or injuries. In leagues with 12 or fewer teams, it's risky.
