Los Angeles Chargers - NFL Betting Analysis

This week, the Chargers will look to get back on track, as they lost to the Denver Broncos in an AFC West matchup by a score 31-28. Los Angeles went into the game as the 6.5-point underdogs on the spread. Going into the game, the over-under total was set at 39 points, which the teams surpassed. The Chargers were not able to make a comeback in last week's game, as they trailed Denver by a score of 24-20 heading into the final quarter. Through 17 games, the Chargers have an ATS record of 11-5-1. So far, they have an over-under record of 7-9-1. This week's betting total of 47.5 is right in line with their previous games.

As the Chargers prepare to take on Jacksonville, they are ranked 13th in points per game at 23.0. This week, the team is matched up against the league's 12th-ranked defense. Throughout the game, Los Angeles should be able to move the ball through the air, as they are the 3rd ranked team in terms of passing yards. In addition, they are facing off against a defense that has been vulnerable in the secondary. On the ground, Los Angeles is just the 30th-ranked team in rush yards per game. Look for them to struggle once again, as they are matched up against a strong rush defense.

Jacksonville Jaguars - NFL Betting Analysis

This week, the Jaguars will look to keep things rolling, after picking up a 20-16 win over their division rival, the Tennessee Titans. In terms of betting, Jacksonville did not cover the spread in their win, as they entered as the -5.5 point favorites. The two teams combined point total of 36 remained below the betting line of 39. Jacksonville pulled out a comeback victory over the Titans, as they entered the 4th quarter trailing by a score of 16-10. Despite the win, Jacksonville was not able to cover the spread. Through 17 games, the Jaguars have an ATS record of 8-9. So far, they have an over-under record of 8-9. This week's betting total of 47.5 is slightly higher than the line in their previous games.

As the Jaguars prepare to take on Los Angeles, they have played well on offense, ranking 10th in points per game at 23.8. Look for the team to put together another strong offensive performance, as they are facing a Chargers defense that is ranked 21st in points per game. In the passing attack, the Jaguars head into the game averaging 232.9 yards per game through the air. This week, they are facing off against a secondary that is ranked 14th in passer rating allowed. In the running game, the Jaguars have averaged 124.5 yards per contest.

Today's NFL Betting Pick - Chargers vs. Jaguars

Looking back at the recent matchups between Los Angeles and Jacksonville, the Jaguars have taken 3 of the last 5 contests. The over-under record in these games sits at 4-1, with the average scoring total coming in at 52.0 points. In game 1 of this year's series between the two teams, the Jaguars came away with a 10-38 win over the Chargers. Not only did the Jaguars come away with a straight-up win, but they also covered the spread as +1.0 point underdogs. Los Angeles and Jacksonville did not play each other in the 2021-2022 regular season.

The Los Angeles Chargers have performed well vs the spread in recent games, going 2-1. On average, the Chargers have averaged 29.8 points per game in the past 5 head-to-head matchups, compared to Jacksonville at 22.2.

Through their last 3 games, the Chargers have a record of 2-1. The team has also been excellent vs the spread, going 3-0. Their over-under record in these games was 1-1-1

Although Los Angeles has a straight-up record of 1-2 in their last 3 road games, they have not held up as well vs the spread going 2-1. The team averaged 22.7 points per game in these games.

Jacksonville has put together a record of 3-0 over their past 3 games. In these games, they have a 2-1 record vs the spread and an over-under mark of 0-3.

In their last 3 home games, Jacksonville has averaged 29.33 points per game while allowing 25.7. The team's record in this stretch was 3-0 while going 2-1.

Recommended ATS Betting Pick: Jaguars 1.0

Recommended OU Betting Pick: Over 47.5
