Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp was a third-round pick in the 2017 NFL Draft from Eastern Washington. Kupp had 62 receptions on 94 targets for 869 receiving yards and five touchdowns as a rookie.
The young receiver had a productive sophomore season until an injury forced him to miss eight games. However, Kupp became a fantasy star starting in 2019. He had 94 receptions on 134 targets for 1,161 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns that season. Furthermore, the star receiver had 92 receptions on 124 targets for 927 receiving yards and three touchdowns the following year.
However, Kupp had a breakout 2021 season. He had 145 receptions on 191 targets of 1,947 receiving yards and 16 touchdowns, all career highs. More importantly, the superstar led the NFL in all four categories and finished third in the MVP race behind Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady.

Is Cooper Kupp Injured Or Healthy?
The Rams had a disappointing 2022 season following their Super Bowl victory. However, Kupp remained an elite wide receiver, totaling 75 receptions on 98 targets for 812 receiving yards and six touchdowns in only nine games.
Unfortunately, the superstar wide receiver missed the final seven games last season because of a high ankle sprain that required surgery. While the team expects Kupp to be ready for training camp, Los Angeles has played things safe this offseason with the superstar.
Kupp is an elite player and has built chemistry with Matthew Stafford over the past two years. Therefore, fantasy players shouldn’t be alarmed that the superstar receiver hasn’t practiced this offseason.
What Should Fantasy Players Expect From Cooper Kupp This Season?
Some fantasy players are concerned the former Eastern Washington star won’t be an elite wide receiver this year. However, the veteran wide receiver was on pace for another historic season last year before getting hurt.
Unfortunately, the high ankle sprain cost the superstar nearly half the 2022 season. However, Kupp was on pace for 141 receptions on 185 targets for 1,553 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns last year before the injury. More importantly, he would have ended the year as the overall WR1.
The Rams traded away Allen Robinson this offseason, leaving Kupp as the only proven wide receiver on the roster. While the team is excited about their younger players, the former Eastern Washington star should have another top-three fantasy finish in 2023.
