Washington Commanders running back Brian Robinson Jr. (hamstring) has easily beaten the ~RB29 ADP that he was rated as before the season. In his third year as a pro, he emerged as a steady, reliable presence on fantasy football rosters. He's scored double-digit PPR fantasy points in all but one of his games this season.
He's carried the ball 101 times for 461 yards, good for just under 4.6 yards per carry, rushed for six touchdowns, and caught nine passes for 79 yards. He averaged 4.1 yards per carry last season and scored just five rushing touchdowns the whole year. He's clearly improved as a pure runner.
Unfortunately, he's recently had some injury issues. So, is he injured or healthy, and is he playing in Week 9?

Is Brian Robinson Injured or Playing in Week 9?
No. 8 is officially listed as "Questionable" on Washington's injury report heading into Sunday's matchup with the divisional rival New York Giants. He missed one game earlier in the season with a knee issue, but this ailment is likely new. While his status hasn't been confirmed, there's some not-so-great news on the horizon.

Typically, when a player who usually doesn't see the active roster is elevated from the practice squad ahead of a game, and that player plays the same position as a starter who's questionable with an injury, that's not a good sign. Washington doesn't appear to be confident that BRob will be able to suit up come game time.
UPDATE: Robinson is officially OUT, making Austin Ekeler a strong flex play and Jeremy McNichols a desperation flex play.
Brian Robinson Fantasy Football Injury Outlook
It looks like he won't play, which means backup Austin Ekeler will be thrust into the starting role while third-string man Jeremy McNichols will play in Ekeler's normal role as the backup. It's not the most favorable matchup, as the opposing Giants are solid at stopping the run, but Commies offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury has always schemed up a great run game.

The presence of hyper-mobile quarterback Jayden Daniels and the surprising effectiveness of the offensive line helps whichever running back is serving as the starter have a chance at a solid game. So the former Los Angeles Charger deserves consideration as an RB3/FLEX if the guy ahead of him isn't able to go.
