Top 25 Fantasy Baseball Prospects to Stash (Redraft): Eric Cross' Rookie Rankings for Week 4

Payton Tolle - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, Draft Sleepers, MLB Prospects

Eric Cross' top 25 fantasy baseball prospects to stash in redraft for Week 4 (2026). His updated MLB rookie rankings for prospect call-ups to make 2026 impacts.

We're already approaching the one-month mark of the major league season, and what a month it's been. We've already seen several notable prospects sign long-term extensions this season, with plenty of prospects already debuting and making impacts for our fantasy teams. How about that Sal Stewart fellow, huh?

We have several other notable prospects on the cusp of debuting as well, including a few high-upside arms who could be joining the recently debuted Noah Schultz in the majors sooner rather than later.

These prospect rankings are for 2026 redraft value only. These are MLB prospects who could potentially make a fantasy baseball impact in 2026 redraft leagues. You can also see our top fantasy baseball dynasty prospects rankings for longer-term outlooks and our 2026 fantasy baseball rankings dashboard for all other league formats.

Fantasy Baseball Prospect Rankings Analysis

Trey Yesavage, SP, Toronto Blue Jays

I didn't include Trey Yesavage in previous weeks as I thought of him more as an injury stash, but that still counts, right? He's still a top prospect, and one you absolutely should have stashed if he's for some reason available in your fantasy league(s).

When it comes to stats, I urge you to take Yesavage's rehab stint numbers with a grain of salt and remember how dominant Yesavage was in 2025. That wasn't a fluke. Yesavage recorded a 3.12 ERA in 98 minor league innings before posting a 3.46 ERA in 41 2/3 combined major league innings between the regular season and the postseason.

Once he's back in the next week or two, Trey Yesavage could easily post top-40 SP value over the remainder of the season.

Ryan Waldschmidt, OF, Arizona Diamondbacks

There aren't many hitters hotter than Ryan Waldschmidt right now in Triple-A. Over his last 10 games, Waldschmidt is slashing .447/.512/.763 with two doubles, two triples, two home runs, and three stolen bases. This hot stretch has boosted his season line to .338/.448/.563 in 21 games with two home runs, four steals, 19 runs scored, and 14 RBI.

This comes after a nice breakout 2025 season where Waldschmidt racked up 18 home runs and 29 steals in 134 games with a .289/.419/.473 slash line.

Waldschmidt has consistently shown elite on-base abilities, posting an OBP north of .400 at every level he's ever been at. He's also posting above-average zone and overall contact rates this season to go along with a 9.6% barrel rate and 88.5 mph AVG EV. The long-term upside is a 20/25 type of player who can hit for a decent average and maybe even be one of the top OBP threats at the outfield position. I'm expecting him up with the Diamondbacks within the next month.

Max Clark, OF, Detroit Tigers

While fellow top Detroit prospect Kevin McGonigle is making an impact with the major league team, Max Clark has gotten off to a strong start in Triple-A Toledo and is loudly knocking on the door to the major leagues right now. In his first 89 plate appearances, Clark is slashing .351/.416/.519 with 10 extra-base hits, six steals, and as many walks as strikeouts (10).

Clark is making plenty of contact this season with a 92.6% zone and 85.1% overall contact rate to pair with a stellar 11.5% walk and 11.5% strikeout rate. He's also posted a solid 89.2 mph AVG EV and 41.8% hard-hit rate. However, Clark only has one home run and a 1.8% barrel rate, largely due to a near 50% ground-ball rate.

The long-term power upside is a 15-20 homer bat, but even if there aren't many home runs this season, Clark can make a decent fantasy impact thanks to his blend of contact, approach, and speed.

Robby Snelling, SP, Miami Marlins

Through his first four starts of the season down in Triple-A, Robby Snelling has shown that he's ready for his shot in the majors with the Miami Marlins. Snelling has posted a stellar 1.89 ERA, 0.95 WHIP, .138 BAA, and a 41,9% strikeout rate in 19 innings so far, and his last two starts have yielded a combined 11 shutout innings and 21 strikeouts.

Outside of an underwhelming 2024 season, Snelling dominated in 2023 and bounced back in a big way last season to reclaim his spot as one of the top left-handed pitching prospects in the game. While he might not have ace upside like Chase Burns or Nolan McLean, Snelling has solid SP2 upside and should join the Miami rotation sooner rather than later.

The duo of Chris Paddack and Janson Junk isn't going to hold him back for much longer.

Payton Tolle, SP, Boston Red Sox

With the Red Sox off to a dreadful 8-13 start to the season, it feels like some changes could be on the horizon. One of those changes could come in the back of the rotation. Brayan Bello has struggled to the tune of a 6.75 ERA and 1.93 WHIP through his first four starts this season, with nearly as many walks as strikeouts.

Meanwhile, Boston's top pitching prospect, Payton Tolle, is off to a strong start with Triple-A Worcester. And for you non-New Englanders, that's pronounced "Woo-stah".

In his first three starts this season, Tolle has recorded a 3.00 ERA, 1.07 WHIP, 6.6% walk rate, and a 31.1% strikeout rate across 15 innings. Tolle has been especially dominant over his last two outings, allowing just one earned run in 11 innings with two walks and 13 strikeouts. He has at least six strikeouts in all three starts so far this season.

But the most encouraging part of Tolle's first three outings has been the new-look arsenal and pitch mix. Tolle has decreased his 4-seamer usage in favor of more cutters and sinkers, the latter of which is a new offering for him. He's also throwing more changeups and curveballs. This is a much more well-rounded arsenal, and I'm excited to see Tolle back up with Boston in the near future.
