DraftKings Quarterbacks - Week 6 DFS Picks

Cam Newton (at NO, $8,100)

Cam Newton is recovering from a concussion, but it looks like he will be set to start for the Carolina Panthers this week against the New Orleans Saints. At home, Drew Brees is one of the best quarterbacks in the league, and the Panthers have been slipping since the beginning of the season. If they want to salvage their season, this is very close to a must win game. The Saints are going to score early and often. Newton is going to have to matchup them. The Saints' pass defense is horrendous, so the Panthers should not have too many issues finding open wide receivers, or tight ends. Newton has a rushing touchdown in two of his last four games, so fire him up due to his consistency and upside, in both 50/50 contests and tournaments.

DraftKings Running Backs - Week 6 DFS Picks

LeSean McCoy (vs SF, $6,900)

LeSean McCoy is one of the best running backs in the league right now. He has over 20 fantasy points in three straight games now, and this week, he gets a great matchup against the San Francisco 49ers and Chip Kelly's lightning speed offense. McCoy should have more carries and targets than he usually gets, and he has been producing with limited numbers. The Buffalo Bills are likely going to win this game, which means that McCoy will see a lot of carries in the fourth quarter. His price tag is very reasonable, and he has the upside of Le'Veon Bell and DeMarco Murray.

Carlos Hyde (at BUF, $5,100)

Carlos Hyde should not be used in the same lineup as LeSean McCoy, as both running backs are not likely going to see 20 plus carries, but he does make for a great roster move in tournaments. His upside is very high, as he has over 20 fantasy points in two of his last three starts. Against the Seattle Seahawks, a very tough rush defense, he posted 28.5 fantasy points on 21 carries. If he continues to get worked into the passing attack for the 49ers, he is going to be a semi-elite level running back within the next couple of weeks. His price tag is bound to come up at some point, so roster him while he is cheap.

DraftKings Wide Receivers - Week 6 DFS Picks

A.J. Green (at NE, $8,600)

A.J. Green has been fantastic so far this season with 36 receptions, 518 receiving yards, and two touchdowns. If he starts to find the end zone a little bit more frequently, he will quickly turn into a top five wide out. Two games ago, he posted over 35 fantasy points on 12 targets and 10 receptions. Unfortunately, he only does that every so often. In his last five starts, he has over 35 fantasy points twice. That upside is as high as Antonio Brown and Julio Jones, but his price tag is lower. The New England Patriots are going to score. The Bengals will be playing from behind, which should bode well for Green. After his poor performance last week, they should be attempting to get him involved in the game plan a little bit more often.

Jeremy Maclin (at OAK, $6,300)

According to Vegas, the Kansas City Chiefs are going to walk into Oakland and beat the Raiders. That is very surprising, but Vegas tends to know more than anyone else. Jeremy Maclin has been a very consistent fantasy option at the wide receiver position, so using him in 50/50 contests is the correct move. However, this week, he can also be used in tournaments. The Chiefs are going to have to score to beat the Raiders, and Maclin is their go-to target. He has over 10 fantasy points in three of his last four starts, and he only found the end zone once this season. Over 20 fantasy points is definitely possible, if he sniffs out the goal line early.

DraftKings Tight Ends - Week 6 DFS Picks

Coby Fleener (vs CAR, $3,500)

Coby Fleener is a very high-upside tight end option for tournaments this week against the Carolina Panthers. The Panthers are not good defensively against the tight end position, and Fleener recently posted over 25 fantasy points against the Atlanta Falcons. As previously mentioned, Drew Brees is outstanding at home, which increases Fleener's upside. He is starting to see more targets, and if the Saints are winning the game, he should see even more targets. The Saints tend to check down before running the ball. It is just how their offense works. Use Fleener in tournaments, but his consistency has not been there. As a side note, Vernon Davis (with Jordan Reed out of the Redskins' lineup) makes for a fantastic low-priced tight end option.
