DraftKings CBB DFS Lineup Picks for 11/9/21 - Daily Fantasy College Basketball Advice

CBB DFS lineup picks DraftKings NCAA daily college fantasy basketball

Mike Marteny offers his DraftKings daily fantasy college basketball sleepers for 11/9/21. His CBB DFS lineup picks and sleepers will help you win on DraftKings.

When I migrated over to Rotoballer last winter, I added another dimension to the site: college basketball. The response was positive, so we will up the college basketball content this season. I'll be providing you with some things that I've uncovered during my own research for these slates that you may not have come by elsewhere. There aren't a ton of sharps in the college contests on DraftKings because there's not enough money in it and it's far more volatile than its professional counterparts. That's why we can be profitable.

The teams are playing for keeps now. All of the results count. We have a couple of big ones in here, like Kansas-Michigan State and Kentucky-Duke, but the rest feature some teams that wont wind up on DraftKings slates again this season unless they make the NCAA tournament. I'll tell you right now that I'll be under the field on the four marquee teams. I'll make money on the guys that most have never heard of.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy college basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 11/9/21. I’ll be providing multiple player suggestions for players at guard and forward, aiming to highlight one option apiece at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings CBB DFS Guards

Michael Devoe, Georgia Tech ($9,300)

Devoe is a guy that many have heard of. He led Georgia Tech to the NCAA tournament last year for the first time since 2020. Unfortunately, the Bees got caught in the buzzsaw that was Loyola-Chicago. Devoe averaged 28.4 DraftKings points per game last season, and while ceiling games were not all that frequent, his floor is higher than most. He just doesn't get under 20, not even in ACC play. He's a nice place to start the new season.

Remy Martin, Kansas ($8,000)

It says something that the Arizona State transfer was named the Big 12(10) Preseason Player of the Year. Martin has a path to take over for Marcus Garrett as the leader of the Jayhawks. I know it's almost sacrilegious to say that Martin may be better than Garrett, but I think that's the case. Maybe he's not quite the player that Garrett turned into, but Martin definitely has a higher ceiling in this position. Even against Michigan State, I like this play.

De'Vion Harmon, Oregon ($7,200)

Harmon was often the afterthought last year with Austin Reaves and Brady Manek leading the Sooners. He headed for the guaranteed minutes as playmaker with Oregon. I like what I saw from Harmon with Oklahoma, The guy is capable of big games, even if he never really got a chance to show it with Oklahoma. I'm excited to see what a guy like Harmon can do as the focal point of the team. He thought he would never get the chance with Oklahoma.

A.J. Lawson, Texas Southern ($4,200)

The graduate transfer from McNeese State has DraftKings all sorts of confused. The stats that they have listed for Lawson are those of South Carolina's A.J. Lawson, who declared for the NBA draft last year. While Lawson doesn't have the gaudy stats of South Carolina's Lawson, he will provide a scoring punch to a team that needs it. Lawson's veteran presence should keep his head in the game against Oregon, which means more balls in the basket. There is good potential here, even in a blowout game environment.

Also consider: Caleb Love, North Carolina ($8,200); Tyson Walker, Michigan State ($7,400); Jahvon Quinerly, Alabama ($6,400); Tyty Washington Jr., Kentucky ($5,700)

DraftKings CBB DFS Forwards

Armando Bacot, North Carolina ($8,500)

Double-double bonuses are a nice little boost on DraftKings. Bacot is the type of player that can throw in quite a few of those. He was a monster in preseason this year, picking up right where he left off last year. Loyola-Maryland is not Loyola-Chicago. They are way undersized in this matchup. That's going to favor guys like Bacot who are strong rebounders anyway. There's an incoming double-double here, even in a blowout.

Noah Horchler, Providence ($6,900)

I don't usually put a lot of stock into exhibitions for the same reason I don't in NFL preseason. What do you really learn from them? In the case of Providence's tilt with Purdue over the weekend, maybe a lot. Horchler had a strong game against a team that's in the top half of the Big 10(14) and should have solidified the starting PF slot over South Carolina transfer Justin Minaya. The leash may be a touch shorter on Horchler with Minaya around, but the Friars also need his lights-out shooting.

Oscar Tshiebwe, Kentucky ($6,000)

Duke has problems with big players that play big. That's Tshiebwe. The West Virginia transfer isn't a huge scorer, but he's going to dominate up front against Duke. Kentucky has guys that can score. They don't always have guys that can take care of business in the middle. Tshiebwe is one of those guys. He's defensive-minded, which gives him a nice floor.

Joirdon Nicholas, Texas Southern ($4,800)

Nicholas was a non-factor against Michigan in last year's NCAA tournament thanks to fouling out in just 14 minutes. That seems to be an outlier, and Oregon doesn't really have the size to make Nichols struggle. There's not a big ceiling here, but I like the low-key double-double threat here. Oregon is going to wipe the floor with the Tigers, but I don't see any reason for them to pull their starters.

Also consider: Jayden Gardner, Virginia ($9,000); Nate Watson, Providence ($8,300); Isaiah Crawford, Louisiana Tech ($5,800); Theo John, Duke ($4,900)
