DraftKings and FanDuel Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks (11/16/22): NBA DFS Lineups

Kristaps Porzingis - NBA DFS Picks, Daily Fantasy Basketball Rankings, Injury News - rotoballer icon

NBA DFS sleepers and values plays for DraftKings and FanDuel on November 16, 2022. Juan Carlos Blanco gives you his top NBA DFS picks and lineup targets.

We're set for a big 10-game Wednesday slate that features Celtics-Hawks and Cavaliers-Bucks clashes as centerpieces.

There are some very good options in favorable matchups across each price point on the salary cap at each position, setting up what should be a fun night of lineup construction for both cash games and tournaments.

This article will provide you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 11/16/22. Remember to monitor the NBA injury report as the slate can completely change before lineups lock, which is at 7:00 pm ET tonight. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings and FanDuel Guards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Luka Doncic - PG, DAL vs. HOU ($12,700 DK; $12,500 FD)

Donic did it again Tuesday night, posting a 35-point, 11-rebound double-double to cross 60 fantasy points on either site against the Clippers in a win he clinched with a clutch three-pointer. It was just the latest eye-popping feat in Doncic's MVP-caliber start to his season, which has led to him averaging over 60 fantasy points on both sites for the season.

Doncic is in another terrific spot Wednesday, as the Rockets are allowing the sixth-highest offensive efficiency rating to point guards (27.9), along with over 56 fantasy points per game on either site to the position and the third-most assists per road game (28.1) overall.

Devin Booker - PG/SG, PHX vs. GSW ($9,200 DK; $9,000 FD)

Booker may take the floor without Chris Paul (heel) again, as his backcourt mate is questionable. With Paul out the last three games, Booker has exceeded 50 fantasy points on each site twice while shooting a red-hot 40.9 percent from behind the arc.

The Warriors already conceded 53 DK/52.9 FD points to Booker back in Phoenix's third game this season as well, and Golden State is surrendering over 43 fantasy points per game to shooting guards. The Dubs have also been highly susceptible to three-point shooting on the road, conceding the fourth-highest success rate from behind the arc (40.3 percent) in that split.

D'Angelo Russell - SG, MIN at ORL ($6,200 DK; $6,400 FD)

Russell has surprisingly modest salaries for his upside. While he's averaging a solid 31.3 DK/30.4 FD points per game, Russell has exceeded those figures by a large margin on more than one occasion, including in his most recent contest, when he put up a season-high 53.5 DK/49.9 FD points against a normally tough Cavaliers defense Sunday.

He now tangles with a Magic squad that's allowing the 12th-highest offensive efficiency rating (27.4) to point guards, along with 51.1 DK/49.6 FD points per game to the position. Russell has also exceeded 40 fantasy points on either site on three other occasions besides his aforementioned Sunday breakout, making him quite the cost-savings tournament play at his salary.

ALSO CONSIDER: Jamal Murray - PG, OKC at BOS ($6,500 DK; $6,400 FD)

DraftKings and FanDuel Forwards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Jayson Tatum - SF, BOS at ATL ($10,900 DK, $10,600 FD)

Tatum is a good play on any night and at virtually any salary, but even more so in a game that could well turn into a wire-to-wire affair. The star forward is already averaging 52.8 DK/51.3 FD points per game, and he's actually been at his best on the road, where he's shot an impressive 38.9 percent from three-point range and averaged 53.5 DK points.

Tatum is shooting a career-high 49.1 percent for the season and comes into Wednesday's game with consecutive double-doubles. The Hawks could facilitate another strong performance, as Atlanta is surrendering over 49 DK points per game and over 47 FD points per contest to power forwards. The Hawks are also tied with the Hornets for most rebounds allowed per home game (56.7), which should give Tatum plenty of chances to hit the double-double bonus on DK and have a big night on the boards overall.

Christian Wood - PF, DAL vs. HOU ($6,400 DK; $6,300 FD)

Wood sports appealing salaries for a player with five tallies of over 30 fantasy points on either site, including a pair greater than 40 on DK and one such tally on FD. The big man should be in a good spot for one of his higher-percentile games Wednesday night, as he faces his old Rockets squad, which should automatically give him a bit of extra incentive.

Additionally, Houston is allowing a Western Conference-high offensive efficiency rating (33.2) to power forwards, along with over 50 DK points and over 47 FD points per game to the position. The Rockets are also allowing the fourth-highest offensive efficiency rating to second-unit players (44.9), and they're tied for third-most points in the paint per game surrendered (54.4); meanwhile, Wood is scoring 51.7 percent of his points in that part of the floor.

Michael Porter Jr. - SF/PF, DEN vs. NYK ($5,900 DK; $6,200 FD)

Porter will take the floor without Nikola Jokic (COVID-19 protocols) on Wednesday, which should set up the talented wing for a significant bump in usage. Porter is averaging 35.7 DK/34.2 FD points per 36 minutes with Jokic off the floor this season, and he's already coming off his best game of the season, a 31-point effort against the Bulls.

Porter has already exceeded 30 DK points on seven occasions and has cleared that mark on six occasions on FD, giving him great upside for his modest salaries. The matchup is also in his favor, as the Knicks are allowing the 11th-highest offensive efficiency rating to small forwards (23.0), along with the second-most DK points (48.4) and third-most FD points (46.9) per game to the position. New York has also been more vulnerable than usual to three-point shooting of late, giving up a 39.6 percent success rate in that split over the last three games.

ALSO CONSIDER: P.J. Washington - PF, CHA vs. IND ($5,300 DK; $6,000 FD)

DraftKings and FanDuel Centers - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Kristaps Porzingis - WAS vs. OKC ($8,400 DK; $8,200 FD)

Porzingis will have Bradley Beal back on the floor with him Wednesday, as the star guard is ready to return from his time away due to COVID-19 and resulting conditioning issues. However, the big man remains a very viable play at his salaries Wednesday, even if he doesn't enjoy the same level of usage that allowed him to score well over 40 fantasy points on either site in the last two games.

Porzingis actually cleared 50 fantasy points twice on each site with Beal on the floor with him earlier in the season, and he'll be matching up against a Thunder squad that's surrendered the fourth-highest offensive efficiency rating to centers (34.5), along with 59.5 DK/59 FD points per game to fives. OKC has also given up an NBA-high 56.6 rebounds and the fifth-most blocks (6.1) per game, two paths that could lead to big production for Porzingis.

Myles Turner - IND at CHA ($6,900 DK; $7,100 FD)

Running centers out against the Hornets is never a bad idea, and Turner is an excellent candidate to do so with considering he's averaging 38.4 DK/38.9 FD points per game. The big man clearly can outpace his current salaries as those figures indicate, and he's averaging career-high figures in points (17.9) and rebounds (8.7), along with the second-most blocks per game (3.1) of his career as well.

The Hornets are allowing an Eastern Conference-high offensive efficiency rating to centers (35.9), along with an NBA-high 64 DK/63.6 FD points per game to the position. Charlotte is also surrendering the fourth-most rebounds (55.9), second-most blocks (6.8), and eighth-most points in the paint (51.5), all metrics that dovetail very nicely for fantasy purposes with Turner's skill set.

Al Horford - BOS at ATL ($5,700 DK; $5,500 FD)

Horford has turned back the clock in a couple of different aspects thus far this season, putting up his best shooting percentage (53.9) since the 2013-14 season, including his best success rate from distance (45.1 percent) since the 2012-13 campaign. The big man has been especially productive of late, averaging 14.0 points, 7.8 rebounds and 2.7 assists while shooting 58.9 percent, including 50.0 percent from downtown, over his last six games.

That span has seen Horford exceed 30 DK and FD points on four occasions, making his salaries all the more palatable Wednesday. The Hawks present an appealing matchup as well, considering Atlanta is allowing the ninth-highest offensive efficiency rating to centers (32.8) and over 54 fantasy points per game to the position on both sites. Additionally, the fact the Hawks allow the most rebounds per home game in the league as noted in Tatum's entry naturally also bodes well for Horford's prospects.

ALSO CONSIDER: Deandre Ayton, PHX vs. GSW ($6,100 DK; $6,800 FD)
