MLB Injury Updates for 4/28/16

Miguel Montero was scheduled to miss his second consecutive game as a result of back stiffness Wednesday before the contest against the Brewers was rained out. David Ross will likely reprise his role behind the plate if Montero is unable to play Thursday. UPDATE: Montero placed on DL. Ross will likely start at catcher for the foreseeable future.

Scooter Gennett missed his second game in a row Wednesday due to an oblique injury. Look for Yadiel Rivera to continue to start for as long as he is sidelined. UPDATE: Gennett placed on the DL. Rivera will start in his absence.

Kolten Wong missed his second straight game Wednesday against the Diamondbacks. Jedd Gyorko is likely to start again Thursday if Wong needs more time to recover.

MLB Lineup Updates for 4/28/16

The Orioles will face their second consecutive lefty when John Danks takes the hill for the White Sox. Pedro Alvarez will likely remain on the bench, while Nolan Reimold plays left field. This means Mark Trumbo will stay in the DH role. UPDATE: Matt Wieters sits in favor of Caleb Joseph.

UPDATE: Tommy La Stella will play third base against Milwaukee. Kris Bryant slides to left field.

UPDATE: Starling Marte will sit in favor of Matt Joyce. Chris Stewart will take over behind the plate for Francisco Cervelli.

UPDATE: Yasmany Tomas and Welington Castillo are out Thursday. Brandon Drury will play in left field while Chris Herrmann takes over behind the plate.

Weather Updates for 4/28/16
