Counter Strike: Global Offensive DFS Picks (4/12/20) - DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy

Jorge Pucks' DraftKings, FanDuel DFS lineup picks for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive on 4/12/20. He analyzes CS:GO slates and top targets for ESports DFS contests.

Welcome back, RotoBallers, to another edition of my Counter-Strike: Global Offensive DFS picks. If you are reading this, you must be missing sports quite a bit but have found solace in DFS ESports. For those that are new to the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive DFS set up, don't worry I got your back!

If you need a quick refresher, here you go. You have teams of five and the objective is to plant a bomb while the other team defends. It’s a pretty simple objective so let’s not try to over-analyze things! There are 30 rounds per match (the first to win 16 rounds takes the match) and they play best two out of three. There is no respawning so once you die, you are gone till the next round so kill-to-death ratios are very important to look at it when crafting your roster.

Today I'll be bringing you my Counter-Strike: Global Offensive DFS advice, analysis and picks for ESports DFS contests on DraftKings and FanDuel Sunday, April 12th, 2020 at 10:25 AM. Feel free to follow me on Twitter @rdr1634 as I am happy to engage with readers and try to answer your questions!

ESL (Best of 5) - 10:25 AM

  • Mousesports vs. Fnatic (Europe Final)
  • Evil Geniuses vs. Team Liquid (NA Final)

DFS Captain Considerations

ELiGe is a complete player and he is always up for captain consideration. He has gone for 80+ DK points in three out of his last five games and is one of the safer options on the slate. ELiGe has a 1.25 K/D ratio over the last month with a 50.3% headshot percentage so he is certainly viable on FanDuel as well. He averages .81 kills per round which is near the top end of that rating. Even though his price point is high, he is worth it since has gone for 94.9 and 100.4 DK points against Evil Geniuses.

KRIMZ is a cheaper captain option but could go a tad lower owned compared to some other players on this slate. He has a 1.12 K/D ratio and has a headshot percentage of 42.1%. He provides some salary relief if you were trying to get as many high priced players in your lineup as possible but just be aware that his upside is not as high as others on this slate.

BrollaN could be the more popular option from Fnatic. He is a little higher priced than KRIMZ but has a little more upside so he could be worth paying up for. He has a 1.10 K/D ratio over the past month but is carrying a 56.5% headshot percentage so he stands out on FanDuel due to the headshot points that can be accrued there.

DFS Value Plays

Ethan is a risky value option on this slate but has shown some decent upside as of late. He is only carrying a .92 K/D ratio over the last month but has 40+ kills in four out of his last six games. This is a risky play but if he can rack up assists like he has been (averaging 15 assists per game) he could hit value.

Top DFS Stacks + Teams for FanDuel

Fnatic has a slight edge over Mousesports as they have beaten them in their most recent meeting. Fnatic has won four out of their last five games with key wins over Natus Vincere,  Mousesports, Astrali and FaZe. KRIMZ and BrollaN look to be the main pieces of a Fnatic stack with Flusha as a nice tournament addition.

Team Liquid is the favorite in this match and rightfully so. They have won three out of their last five games with two of those wins coming against Evil Geniuses. They won 2-0 and 2-1 and over their last 14 matches, they have beaten opposing teams 2-0 42.9% of the time. Any Team Liquid stack starts with ELiGe and NAF and if looking to expand to a three-man stack, Twistzz would one to look at.

*Per DK, Team Liquid starts with a 1-0 lead and players from both teams will receive GLA for that map based on performances from the rest of the match.

Flashpoint League (Best of Three) - 1:00 PM

  • Mousesports vs. Fnatic
  • Evil Geniuses vs. Team Liquid

Captain / MVP Considerations

Bubskji has been one of the best players recently in the Flashpoint League. Over the last month, he has accumulated a 1.26 K/D ratio and has a 52.1% headshot percentage. Even though he is the highest-priced player on the Flashpoint slate, he has enough upside as he has averaged 74.1 DK points per game.

ZOREE is coming off of one of the more dominant performances in recent CSGO DFS memory. He has posted three straight games where he has eclipsed the 100 point DK mark and this is the upside we need on this slate for the captain spot. Over the last month, he has a 1.35 K/D ratio and has a 76% rating where he either gets a kill or an assist every round played.

sLowi could go overlooked a tad with the most recent performances that ZOREE has posted which is why he is in consideration as a captain role. He himself has gone for 100+ DK points in three straight games and gets you some salary relief should you need it on this slate. SLowi has had a K/D ratio of 1.27 over the last month and could be a nice pivot off of a chalkier ZOREE play.

DFS Value Plays

Hoody has been a nice surprise recently as he has gone for 50+ DK points in four straight games with two of those being above 70 DK points. He is just $6,200 on DK and has carried a 1.04 K/D ratio over the last month. He also has a 47.2% headshot percentage and gets a kill or assist on 73% of rounds.

Top Stacks + Teams for FanDuel

Havu is a stack to not overlook as they have been one of the top teams in the Flashpoint League. MIBR will be a tough opponent as they are the higher-ranked team but HAVU comes into this game riding a four-game winning streak. SLowi and ZOREE have been on fire and must be apart of any HAVI stack that you make. Hoody has been a great value play and Doto could have some tournament upside but he does carry some risk.

MAD has been on a hot streak recently winning their last five games and 50% of their games have ended in a 2-0 win. They have a team K/D ratio of 1.13 and are 15-0-3 over their last 18 games. Cloud9 has won three out of five but hasn’t played as consistently as MAD has been. MAD is the higher-ranked squad (13 vs. 29) and is purely the better team.

With it being a two-game slate, it might be best to at least consider two if not three players from MAD. Bubzkji and Sjuush make for solid foundations of a MAD stack while looking at acoR or roeJ to complete the MAD Lions stack.

FanDuel ESports DFS Contests

FanDuel has now added CSGO to their contest offerings but we are unsure of when they will be posting contests.

Some big differences on FanDuel are that you have a team slot, so make sure you choose teams that have upside but can also lock in the win. In addition, they give points for headshots which is something I will include in future articles when looking at players.

This article was written for DraftKings and FanDuel, so if you have any questions about either please reach out to me on Twitter and I will be happy to answer!
