CBB DFS: Main DraftKings Daily Fantasy College Basketball Picks - Today's Top Lineups (3/16/24)

Jamal Shead - CBB DFS Picks, NCAA Daily College Fantasy Basketball

Today's main DraftKings CBB DFS lineup picks for 3/16/24. Mike's top daily fantasy college basketball sleepers to build winning NCAA DFS lineups on DraftKings.

We only have five games for the main slate on Championship Saturday. Unlike the early slate, all five of these games are for automatic bids. We don't have quite the drama of last night, but we still have five great ones on here. We start this off with another meeting between Houston and Iowa State. Both teams are locked into their seeds and both games during the regular season were boxing matches.

Next up is New Mexico taking on San Diego State. Right now, ESPN's Joe Lunardi has the Lobos as the last team in. There is at least one team that could steal a bid still in action, so they would love to get this win. Speaking of bid stealers, the Wolfpack take on the arch-rival Tar Heels for the ACC automatic invite. If the Pack win, they're taking a bid from someone. Marquette faces UConn for the Big East title. We end this in Vegas with the Ducks and Ralphies for the Pac-12 title. If Oregon wins, they might steal Colorado's bid.

This article will provide you with my daily fantasy college basketball lineup picks on DraftKings on 3/16/24, starting at 6 p.m. EDT. I’ll provide multiple player suggestions at guard and forward, aiming to highlight one option at the salary scale's high, middle, and lower levels. Good luck, RotoBallers.

Today's DraftKings Guards - CBB DFS Lineup Picks

KJ Simpson, Colorado ($8.6K)

Unfortunately, we don't get Devin Carter anymore with Providence bowing out last night. We have to find a new, and less reliable, pay up spot. While it's true that Simpson is a little less reliable, he's almost as good. Utah keyed in on him and Simpson still put up 44 DraftKings points. He put up 31.25 last night against Washington State in a game with 110 combined points.

Simpson's peripheral stats are good enough to give him a floor of 30 DraftKings points. He hasn't been below that mark since the UCLA game on February 15. Simpson put up 79.25 DraftKings points in 76 minutes against the Ducks this year. He should approach 40 again tonight.

Jamal Shead, Houston ($7.9K)

I usually avoid the Iowa State and Houston defenses like the plague when it comes to DFS. They are two of the toughest in the country. Getting a third game of this is going to be intense! Iowa State has an outside shot at a one seed if North Carolina loses to the Pack, but I digress.

Houston scored 130 combined points in the two games against the Cyclones. Shead scored 40 of them to go with seven rebounds, nine assists, five steals, and two blocks. He is the one player over both teams that I would consider using from this game.

DJ Horne, North Carolina State ($6K)

Horne played the entire game against Virginia last night, but he still only scored eight points. Virginia's defense locked him down. That is a bit concerning, but he was fine against Duke and Syracuse. Horne has also scored 59.75 DraftKings points in two games against the Tar Heels this year. If he comes up with another 30 against them, he'll vault us up the leaderboards tonight.

Chase Ross, Marquette ($4.7K)

Kam Jones has picked up much of the slack with Tyler Kolek out, but more shots have opened up for Ross. He is a shooter at heart, so it's fitting. Ross has 54.75 DraftKings points over the last three games and seems to be getting better. UConn is a tough matchup, but he should at least flirt with 20 DraftKings points again.

Also consider: Tristen Newton, Connecticut ($8.8K); Kam Jones, Marquette ($8.2K); RJ Davis, North Carolina ($7.6K); Jaelen House, New Mexico ($7.1K); Keisei Tominaga, Nebraska ($6.9K); Stevie Mitchell, Marquette ($6.1K); Emanuel Sharp, Houston ($5.8K); Micah Parrish, San Diego State ($5.3K); Kario Oquendo, Oregon ($4.2K)

Today's DraftKings Forwards - CBB DFS Lineup Picks

N'Faly Dante, Oregon ($8.5K)

Dante is doing his best Godzilla impression in Vegas for the final Pac-12 Tournament. He has 79 DraftKings points in the two games. Those are good numbers, but what makes them great is that they game against Arizona and UCLA -- two of the best defensive teams in the conference. Dante dropped 79.75 DraftKings points on Colorado in two games this year. You can bet that Dante will put up a big game as Oregon goes for an NCAA Tournament berth.

Donovan Clingan, Connecticut ($7.3K)

Clingan is a frustrating DFS player because he's so hit-and-miss. The reason I'm using him tonight is because both games against Marquette this year were big hits. Clingan put up 78 DraftKings points in just 52 minutes against Marquette this season. If he comes close to those numbers tonight, he's a bargain.

Ja'Vier Francis, Houston ($5.7K)

J'Wan Roberts was hurt in the first half of yesterday's game. As per usual, there is no update on his status, but why would Houston use him tonight? They already are assured a top seed. I would bet that Francis draws the start on the cheap. He played 30 minutes yesterday and put up 32.75 DraftKings points. He probably won't do that against the Cyclones, but he should at least be in the mid-20s if he plays around 30 minutes again.

Mustapha Amzil, New Mexico ($4.9K)

Amzil isn't the most consistent guy out there, but he is riding a streak of at least 10 DraftKings points in five straight games. He even topped 30 against Utah State in the last game of the regular season. Amzil has played well against the Aztecs this year, putting up 45.75 DraftKings points in only 49 minutes. There is plenty of potential here.

Also consider: Jaedon LeDee, San Diego State ($9.6K); Armando Bacot, North Carolina ($7.7K); Nelly Junior Joseph, New Mexico ($6.6K); D.J. Burns Jr., North Carolina State ($6.1K); Jay Pal, San Diego State ($5.5K); Ben Middlebrooks, North Carolina State ($4.6K)
