Several NFL players underwhelmed in Week 11 of the 2023 fantasy football season. Andersen Pickard identifies busts at each position and whether they'll bounce back.

The 11th Sunday of the 2023 NFL season has come and gone. Hopefully, you woke up on Monday morning feeling very good about how your matchup went. However, this week's slate of games was certainly stress-inducing for many fantasy football managers.

Part of that stress was caused by a group of players who drastically underachieved in Week 11. These players simply did not meet fantasy expectations, and it cost their managers in a big way.

Let's take a look at the biggest busts from Week 11, as well as whether or not we can still have some trust in these players moving forward. All point totals are based on the PPR scoring system.

Fantasy Football Running Back Busts

Austin Ekeler, 7.0 FPTS

Ekeler had one of his most disappointing games this season, rushing a season-low 10 times for just 64 yards. He added just six yards through the air and also lost a fumble. While this outing is not an indictment on Ekeler's talent or future value, it was surprising to see him take a backseat versus such a porous Packers run defense. He'll take on the Ravens in Week 12.

Josh Jacobs, 6.1 FPTS

In theory, Jacobs had a chance to thrive on Sunday against a Dolphins run defense that is quite suspect. However, the Raiders found themselves playing from behind, so they leaned on the passing attack and decreased Jacobs' volume. He gets another tough test in the form of the Chiefs' defense next week.

Derrick Henry, 5.4 FPTS

Derrick Henry isn't the same old Derrick Henry. Last week's dud game was justified given the tough matchup versus Tampa Bay, but his production (11 touches, 44 scrimmage yards) versus the Jaguars was an utter shock. One would hope that he could bounce back against the Panthers next week, though that's far from a guarantee at this point. With that said, he should continue to be started in all fantasy leagues.

Travis Etienne Jr., 8.9 FPTS

The Titans might not be a great football team, but they have a stellar run defense. This unit held Etienne to just 3.71 YPC and seven receiving yards on Sunday, though he's primed to bounce back against the Texans in Week 12. The last time Etienne faced Houston, he ran wild for 133 scrimmage yards.

Najee Harris, 4.6 FPTS

It was Jaylen Warren's backfield on Sunday, and it could be Jaylen Warren's backfield going forward. Warren, who found the end zone in the loss, had 109 more yards than Harris (despite Harris having more touches). The former first-round pick drops to the fantasy RB3 tier versus Cincinnati.

Fantasy Football Wide Receiver Busts

Stefon Diggs, 6.7 FPTS

Diggs turned in his lowest yardage total of the season on Sunday, as well as his second-fewest catches. With that said, the Jets' defense is no joke. Perhaps he'll get back on track in a potential shootout versus the Eagles next week.

Garrett Wilson, 0.9 FPTS

Wilson hauled in just two of eight targets for nine yards. He seemingly wasn't on the same page as Zach Wilson or Tim Boyle and it cost his fantasy managers in a big way. The second-year wideout also coughed up a fumble in the loss. Maybe a softer matchup against Miami will help him get back on track next Friday.

Marquise Brown, 3.2 FPTS

Brown simply hasn't forged the same connection with Kyler Murray that he enjoyed during Joshua Dobbs' time under center. The 26-year-old has just three catches over his last two contests and will drop to the WR3/FLEX tier for Week 12 versus Los Angeles.

Diontae Johnson, 3.6 FPTS

There wasn't a whole lot of offense in Browns-Steelers, but Johnson's final stat line was particularly eye-popping. He finished the game with just two catches on eight targets, adding 16 receiving yards along the way. Fantasy managers will hope that he and Kenny Pickett can get back on the same page before Week 12 versus Cincinnati.

Gabe Davis, 0.0 FPTS

Diggs wasn't the only Bills receiver who let fantasy managers down. Davis was nowhere to be found Sunday, finishing the game with zero catches, zero targets, and zero yards. He's nothing more than a risky WR3/FLEX play against the Eagles next week.

Fantasy Football Tight End Busts

Sam LaPorta, 6.8 FPTS

LaPorta didn't play awful, but fantasy managers were surely expecting a little more from the talented rookie. He and Jared Goff connected for just three completions and 18 yards in the quietest game of his rookie campaign. The Iowa product will look to bounce back against the Packers on Thursday afternoon.

Cole Kmet, 5.0 FPTS

Kmet has been hit-or-miss all years long, but fantasy managers were hoping they might get a "hit" in quarterback Justin Fields' return. Instead, the 24-year-old tight end produced a mere three catches for 20 yards. He's a mid-to-high TE2 heading into next week's clash with the Vikings.
